Semi-Auto stuck
« on: March 12, 2010, 11:06:02 PM »
So, Im not really sure what the hell happened but when I switch to semi-auto, the trigger is stuck, unless I put enough force on it, then I can feel the trigger slip off of whatever stop it was on, and then complete the trigger pull.  I've opened the gear box, verified all working parts, and nothing seems wrong, so Im not really sure what the hell is going on.

Anyone else experienced this and/or have some suggestions?

the screw holding the safety lever is too tight. Open the gearbox with the left side facing down. You should see a plastic bar directly in front of the trigger with a screw in the end. Slightly loosen this screw, that should stop it from binding on the other side of the gearbox when the gun is switched to semi.
I ran into this problem with my old G4, and this is the only thing that worked.

This is all assuming you have a v2 gearbox, of course.

Alright, thanks DFM, Ill give that a shot.  I assume the bar you are talking about is the one that is also connected to the outside of gear box?

It's the safety bar in front of the trigger, when the selector plate is moved forward it pushes the safety bar up so that when you pull the trigger it essentially can't go forward completely to complete the electrical connection and turns the motor over and yada yada yada shoots a BB. lol

Yep, it likes to have problems, it might be time just to get rid of it and find something else.

Try what those guys suggested.
My Mp5 did the same thing and it turned out the selector plate was broken.

Mine snapped on the thin piece of plastic right above the round cutout
